Get light

If you do not get much light in our home or wake up before the sun then invest in a light box. 10,000 lux or more ideal.
Gentle stretching
Slowly and gently moving your body to improve range of motion can improve your circulation, lift your mood and decrease pain.
Drink 24 ounces of warm water
Our body is craving hydration by the time we wake up. Most of the time we do not create time to meet basic needs like water, food or having a bowel movement. By drinking warm water right away upon rising this helps stimulate digestion, metabolism and elimination of waste. Excess waste makes us cranky.
